Scout Permit Course - Top Rope Climbing (renewal)

A one day renewal course (8 hours), which is designed to renew specific skills in leading a group on artificial walls and towers, in a single pitch top rope climbing activity and managing up to two belay systems at once.

At the end of the course you will receive a renewal on your Scout Activity permit in Top Rope climbing which will enable you to continue to run sessions for groups within the Scout Association.

Candidates must be a member of the Scout Association and already hold a Top Rope Scout Permit.


This course is not catered, so please bring lunches for the two days, although tea and coffee will be provided throughout. You will be working outdoors from time to time, so please wear appropriate clothing and bring waterproofs.

The day will run from approximately 9:00am - 5:00pm.

Camping can be booked separately.

Full payment is required to confirm the booking, 50% of the course fee is non-refundable. If a cancellation is made within one calendar month of the course start date, 100% of the course fee is forfeited.
